The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has taken another big step to improve higher education in the state. Approval has been given to create a total of 948 new jobs at three newly established universities:
- Guru Jambheshwar University in Moradabad
- Maa Vindhyavasini University in Mirzapur
- Maa Pateshwari University in Balrampur
These jobs are divided into two main categories: 468 university staff positions and 480 outsourced support staff roles.
The government's goal is to ensure these new universities run smoothly and efficiently. This will not only improve the quality of education but also open up new job opportunities for the youth of Uttar Pradesh.

Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay stated that under the visionary leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath, the state is reaching new heights in education. He emphasized that the Chief Minister has always made it a top priority to provide both quality education and jobs for young people.
Details of the New Jobs:
1. University Staff (468 Posts)
Each of the three universities will get 156 temporary non-teaching staff positions. These positions are approved until February 28, 2026.
Examples of jobs include: Deputy Registrar, Assistant Registrar, Medical Officer, Staff Nurse, Pharmacist, Junior Engineer, Stenographer, Accountant, Lab Technician, and various assistant roles.

These positions will be filled through government processes like the Subordinate Services Selection Commission, direct recruitment, and promotions.
2. Support Staff (480 Posts)
Each university will also hire 160 support staff members through private agencies (outsourcing).
Examples of jobs include: Computer Operator, Cleaner, Security Guard, Gardener, Peon, Driver, and Library Attendant.
The hiring process will be done fairly and transparently through the government's official online marketplace (GeM portal).
The government has also made it clear that all reservation rules and procedures will be strictly followed for every appointment.
