The Uttar Pradesh government has commenced the construction of ultra-modern Mukhyamantri Composite Schools in 39 districts as part of a major educational infrastructure initiative. These schools will provide integrated education from pre-primary to Class 12 on a single campus and are designed to serve as model institutions for holistic learning.
As part of the first phase, construction has started in 39 out of the state’s 75 districts. Work is expected to begin shortly in 10 additional districts, while in the remaining districts, land selection and financial approvals are in the final stages. A second phase is also planned, under which another set of composite schools will be established in each district, bringing the total to 150 schools across the state.
Each school, with an estimated construction cost of Rs 30 crore, is being developed on 5 to 10 acres of land and will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. These include:
-30 smart classrooms
-Digital library and computer labs
-Modern science laboratories
-Mini stadium and skill development centre
-Workshops
-Residential quarters for teachers
-Wi-Fi and CCTV surveillance
-Clean drinking water and improved toilet facilities
To ensure timely execution, the state government has assigned the project to six major construction agencies.
The Mukhyamantri Composite Schools are being constructed in the following districts: Sitapur, Bijnor, Kanpur Dehat, Maharajganj, Ambedkarnagar, Bulandshahr, Lakhimpur Kheri, Ballia, Sultanpur, Hamirpur, Rae Bareli, Auraiya, Amethi, Hardoi, Amroha, Chitrakoot, Lalitpur, Jalaun, Chandauli, Firozabad, Shravasti, Etawah, Mainpuri, Hapur, Kaushambi, Mau, Ghaziabad, Shahjahanpur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Sambhal, Ghazipur, Muzaffarnagar, Rampur, Hathras, Badaun, Bahraich, Bhadohi, and Baghpat.

The initiative reflects the state government's commitment to enhancing the quality of education by providing students with access to modern learning environments and resources within their districts.
