The Department of Horticulture and Food Processing will conduct a free 90-day training programme to promote beekeeping across Uttar Pradesh. The sessions are scheduled in Saharanpur, Basti, and Prayagraj, with applications open until September 16.
Minister of State for Horticulture (Independent Charge) Dinesh Pratap Singh said that under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, farmers are being encouraged to adopt supplementary businesses that require less land and capital, alongside agriculture, to increase their income.

Beekeeping offers higher returns in less time and at a lower cost, with a 40 per cent subsidy available for participants, he added.
The training will run from September 16 to December 15. Dr Bhanu Prakash Ram, Director of Horticulture and Food Processing, added that candidates of all genders and categories can participate, provided they have passed at least Class 8.

Interested candidates must apply at the office of the Joint Director, Horticultural Experiment and Training Centre in Saharanpur or Basti, or at the Superintendent, Government Garden, Prayagraj. Applications must include a character certificate issued by two reputable individuals or a gazetted officer.
