The Uttar Pradesh government is set to provide training to youth in line with the requirements of industries and global markets to boost employment and self-employment opportunities. The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) department will work in coordination with the Labour and Employment department to design skill-based programmes.

Information will also be collected from embassies about manpower requirements abroad, following which specialised training in language and technical skills will be offered to candidates.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while distributing appointment letters to newly appointed instructors at Lok Bhavan on Sunday, directed departments to take immediate steps in this direction. 

Acting on these instructions, Minister of State for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Kapil Dev Aggarwal has written to the Principal Secretary, urging urgent action.

The minister has called for the preparation of a joint report in coordination with the MSME and Labour and Employment departments. Plans are also being made to establish a career counselling cell and organise joint employment fairs to connect trained youth with job opportunities.
