UP News: E-way hubs will be built on Purvanchal and Bundelkhand Expressways for the convenience of citizens. Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) will construct 12 e-way hubs on both expressways by spending Rs 425.43 crore, jagran.com.

UPDA has prepared its master plan. Eight e-way hubs will be built on Purvanchal Expressway at a cost of Rs 299.18 crore and four e-way hubs will be built on Bundelkhand Expressway at a cost of Rs 126.25 crore. E-way hubs will be built on both sides of the highway at a cost of Rs 40.72 crore at Sultanpur node on Purvanchal Expressway and Rs 30.82 crore at Banda.

According to the action plan prepared by UPDA, these e-way hubs are being prepared to be equipped with passenger facilities as per global standards. The special thing is that all these e-way hubs will be built as per the standards of facilities provided to passengers at the airport. The e-way hubs will also have separate toilets for men and women, sanitary napkin vending units, soap dispensers, nursing rooms, feeding and changing areas for breastfeeding children. Separate units will also be constructed for the convenience of the disabled.

On the Bundelkhand Expressway, the hubs will span a total of 40 hectares, with developments planned in Banda (10 hectares, right side), Hamirpur (10 hectares, left side), and Jalaun (two hubs on both sides of the road).

For the Purvanchal Expressway, e-way hubs will cover approximately 81.89 hectares. Locations include Barabanki (10 hectares, left side), Amethi (10.12 hectares, right side), Mau (10.10 hectares, left side), and Ghazipur (10.52 hectares, right side). Dual-side hubs will also be developed in Sultanpur and Azamgarh.
