CBI Investigation YEIDA: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating the nexus between builders and banks in Greater Noida and has four builder projects in Yamuna Authority area on its radar. CBI has taken the files related to the builder projects in its custody, jagran.com reported.

Builders Have Swindled Crores Of Rupees Of Buyers

The information related to the project has been sought from the authority officials. In collusion with banks, builders have swindled crores of rupees of thousands of buyers. Buyers have not got possession of flats and are burdened with EMIs of loans taken from banks.

The Supreme Court had ordered the CBI to investigate the matter. The CBI has begun the investigation and has started collecting information from the authorities. Four builder projects in the Yamuna Authority area are on the CBI's radar.

The CBI investigating officer has sought information from Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) from Supertech Builder's Upcountry project in Sector 17A, Kova and Cassia project in Jaypee Sports City in Sector 25 and Oasis Realtech Pvt. Ltd.'s Oasis Grand Stand Phase 1 project in Sector 22D.

Approved Layout Plans

The files have been taken into possession after collecting information from the Authority officials regarding the land allotment, lease deed, approved layout plan, sales in the scheme, transaction of money to the Authority etc. for these projects.

The CBI has appointed separate officers to investigate economic crimes in each project. As the investigation progresses, the problems of the builder and bank officials may increase. YEIDA has appointed OSD Shailendra Bhatia as the nodal officer to coordinate with the CBI.
