The Uttar Pradesh government has rolled out extensive transport arrangements ahead of the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) scheduled on September 6 and 7, anticipating heavy crowds of candidates returning from exam centres. Special examination trains will operate from Lucknow to Lakhimpur and Gorakhpur, with two additional rakes kept on standby at Lucknow station if needed.
Strict security measures have been planned, including the deployment of Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) personnel at Lucknow station from Friday. Meanwhile, the State Transport Corporation will operate 11,000 buses, with additional buses arranged as required, ensuring a smooth commute for the 25 lakh examinees across 48 districts.

Authorities have also ensured candidate convenience at bus stands with arrangements for drinking water, seating, and cleanliness. Control rooms and announcement systems are being enhanced to manage crowds efficiently.
Northern Railway’s Lucknow division has planned special arrangements at key stations, including Lucknow, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Raebareli, and Sultanpur.

Additional general ticket counters and mobile ticketing facilities will be operational, and medical teams will be on standby. The announcement systems will provide timely updates on train schedules to guide candidates effectively.
