Uttar Pradesh:  A Rampur-Delhi roadways bus narrowly escaped a major incident on Monday when it lost balance and crashed into the railing on the Ganga Bridge at Brajghat. The bus was crossing the bridge around 4 PM when it suddenly lost balance and hit the railing at high speed.

The force of the collision broke the railing, causing half of the bus to hang over the edge of the bridge. The incident caused panic among passengers, with many screaming in fear, fearing that the vehicle might plunge into the river below. No casualties have been reported yet, Jagran.com reported.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident and are conducting safety checks on both the bus and the bridge.

Passengers Panic As Rampur-Delhi Bus Hangs Over Ganga Bridge

A viral video shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter) shows heightened panic among passengers as the Rampur-Delhi bus hangs over the Ganga Bridge, sparking fears that the vehicle might plunge into the river. Passengers started screaming in fear.

The bus was inches away from falling into the Ganga River, Jagran.com quoted eyewitnesses as saying. Soon after the incident, police officials arrived quickly, and a crane was called to remove the bus.

Authorities are investigating the incident, focusing on the driver’s alertness and the condition of the bus. More details are awaited.
