The eligibility date for the special intensive revision of voter lists for all assembly constituencies in UP has been set for January 1, 2026. Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa announced that enumeration forms will be distributed door-to-door from November 4 to December 4.

The draft voter list will be filled on December 9, with the residents requested to file claims and objections between December 9 to January 8. During this time, applications can be made to add, correct, or remove a name from the voter list.

Voters can check their name in the 2003 voter list on the Election Commission of India's portal (http://voters.eci.gov.in) or the Chief Electoral Officer's portal (https://ceouttarpradesh.nic.in). If a voter’s name is missing from the 2003 voter list but a family member’s name is present, they may enter that family member's details in the enumeration form, either on their own or with help from the BLO.

Under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), the submitted enumeration forms will be verified. After cross-referencing with the 2003 voter list, notices will be issued to those whose records cannot be found.

The drive to issue notices will run from December 9 to January 31, during which the concerned authority will decide on the enumeration forms and dispose of claims and objections. The final voter list will be published on February 7.

The Chief Electoral Officer stated that the Election Commission's special intensive revision campaign is an important step towards providing voters with an accurate and updated list. A clean voter list will also increase the voting percentage in elections.

Rinwa appealed to the eligible citizens to check their names and make necessary corrections or new registrations within the prescribed period, so that no voter is deprived of their right to vote in the upcoming elections.
