The district administration has issued a strict warning regarding the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls for assembly constituencies. The deadline for filling and returning the enumeration forms is November 20. The Deputy District Election Officer has stated clearly that the names of voters who fail to fill and return the forms on time will be struck from the electoral roll.
Current Status And Delays
Despite the deadline, a significant gap remains in the data digitisation process. As of the evening of November 19, out of the district's total 2,699,000 registered voters across seven assembly constituencies, the enumeration forms of only 120,000 voters had been uploaded to the state Chief Electoral Officer's website.
To manage this massive exercise, 2,758 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been deployed to cover the district's 2,758 booths. Deputy District Election Officer and Additional District Magistrate (Administration), Satyaprakash Singh, claimed that 99 per cent of voters have already been provided with the enumeration forms. He explained that the BLOs are digitising the returned forms via a mobile app, though the upload numbers remain low.
Online Options And BLO Assistance
Acknowledging that some voters may not have received forms or need assistance, the Election Commission has provided digital alternatives:
Book a Call with BLO: Voters can visit voters.eci.gov.in and select the 'Book a call with BLO' option. The respective BLO is mandated to contact the voter within 48 hours. In the district, 1,443 voters have utilized this facility so far. BLOs have resolved issues for 1,138 voters, while contact is pending for 173. In 116 cases, the voter was unreachable.
Online Form Submission: ADM Singh stated that voters can complete the SIR process online by visiting the Election Commission’s website. By using the mobile number linked to their voter ID to receive an OTP, they can fill the enumeration form digitally. However, the receipt generated after online submission must be provided to the local BLO.

Mandatory Guidelines For Form Filling
The Deputy District Election Officer issued specific instructions for filling out the details:
2003 Electoral Roll Reference: Voters whose names were not present in the 2003 electoral roll must provide the details of their parents or grandparents as recorded in the 2003 roll.
Married Women: Women who got married after 2003 must enter their father's details as recorded in the 2003 electoral roll on the enumeration form.
Single Entry: A voter should fill out the enumeration form from only one location.
The administration has reiterated that non-compliance with the physical or online submission by the deadline will result in the removal of the voter's name from the official list.
