In a shocking act of revenge that has left Fatehabad stunned, a woman was gunned down in cold blood by her own nephew, her sister's 16-year-old son. The murder, which took place on July 18 as the woman was returning home from a court hearing, has revealed a tangled web of family betrayal, long-held grudges, and a deadly conspiracy.

The horrifying incident occurred nine days ago, when Manju, a resident of Garhi Heesia in Nibohra, was shot dead shortly after leaving Fatehabad town. Investigators uncovered the truth on Sunday, arresting the teenager and recovering the pistol and motorcycle used in the crime. What he confessed next stunned even experienced police officers.

"I saw my father being murdered nine years ago. My aunt was also involved in it, but she survived." With this chilling statement, the boy revealed the deep emotional trauma and motivation behind his actions as per Jagran.com.

According to police, the teenager had held a grudge ever since his father, Shiv Singh, was murdered in Rajakheda, Dholpur, nearly a decade ago. At the time, his mother Kiran-Manju’s elder sister and her alleged lover were sent to jail for the crime. However, the boy had always believed that his aunt Manju also played a part in his father’s death.

The boy had been living in Delhi with his uncle Manoj, a CRPF jawan, but returned to Fatehabad just a week before the murder. On July 18, he approached Manju on a bike with his face covered, pulled the trigger, and escaped back to his uncle’s home.

DCP East Syed Ali Abbas confirmed the arrest and said CCTV footage helped track the suspect down near Luhari village. What the police discovered next added another sinister layer to the case.

Investigators believe the boy wasn’t acting alone. They now suspect that Manju’s husband Manoj, her brother-in-law Pradeep, and another relative, Narendra, were all part of the murder plot. Manoj had been embroiled in a bitter divorce with Manju and was required to pay Rs 11,000 in monthly alimony. In a desperate bid to free himself from legal and financial pressure, police say he manipulated the teenager’s thirst for revenge and used him as a pawn.

Currently, the police are searching for Manoj and the other two accused. The boy, meanwhile, has been sent to a juvenile custody.
