The Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation has extended the 10 per cent discount on AC bus fares until September 30. This is the first time that fares for AC buses have been reduced during the summer season. Initially, the discount was implemented in the winter season and later extended until the Maha Kumbh.

After the discount ended on March 21, it was further extended from March 22 to April 30. With plans to increase fares starting May 1, Dainik Jagran published a report on the fare hike, prompting the Transport Corporation to extend the discount until September 30.
