UP Weather Update: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded a red alert in multiple Uttar Pradesh districts including Ghaziabad, Noida, Aligarh, Bulandshahr and Mathura as Delhi, parts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh woke up to heavy rain on Wednesday morning, bringing relief from the heat. These areas were hit by strong winds, thunderstorms, and steady showers.

Meanwhile, there has been sporadic rain in some districts of the western UP. On Tuesday, the temperature in Lucknow was recorded at 36.4 degrees Celsius. It is expected to rise on Wednesday.

According to meteorologist Atul Singh, due to the weakening of the depression in the Bay of Bengal, there is a low chance of heavy rain anywhere in the state for the next three days. After July 25, there is a forecast of light to moderate rain in various areas of the state.

On Tuesday, there was sporadic drizzle in the south-western parts of UP and some Terai areas. At present, no weather system is active in the state.

From Sunday, due to the formation of another low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, the monsoon may again gain momentum in most parts of Uttar Pradesh.
