UP Weather Update: Consistent weather turns with strong wind, rain and hailstorms sweeping through the area, the temperature drop over the past few days has provided a much-needed respite to people from scorching heat and heatwave. The temperature in Lucknow was observed between a maximum of 34.8 degrees Celsius to a minimum of 22.2 degrees Celsius on Saturday. 

The Meteorological Department anticipated rain and thunderstorms in several districts on Sunday. A western disturbance has brought strong winds and light rain to many areas on Friday and Saturday, resulting in a noticeable drop in temperature across the state.

A sudden change in weather swept through several districts of eastern and western Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, with dust storms and hailstorms hitting some areas. Strong winds gusting up to 50 km per hour brought a sharp drop in temperature. With cloudy skies and temperatures ranging from 34 degrees Celsius to a minimum of 22 degrees Celsius, the Meteorological Department anticipated the weather pattern to persist in Lucknow and surrounding districts on Sunday.

The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast warning of rain, thunderstorms, and lightning in several districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, and Balrampur, from Sunday, 8:30 am to Monday, 8:30 am. People can also expect strong winds.

Moreover, the dip in temperature is unlikely to persist beyond April 14, as the forecast warning anticipates a change in weather patterns from April 14, with dry conditions expected to prevail, potentially leading to a rise in temperatures.
