A video from Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district has gone viral showing chaos at a nikah ceremony after a dispute over the serving of chicken fry erupted among guests. The argument escalated into three rounds of fistfights within the baraat, leaving at least 15 people injured. Police later arrived at the venue, oversaw the completion of the marriage rituals, and ensured order. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to the India TV report, chaos broke out during a nikah ceremony at Falak Marriage Hall in the Mazheda Tibridi area of Nagina, Bijnor, after a disagreement over the serving of chicken fry escalated into multiple clashes. The baraat, who had arrived from Kotra village, reportedly began arguing with members of the bride’s side over food portions. What started as a verbal dispute quickly turned violent, leading to several rounds of physical altercations and widespread panic among guests.
Witnesses described scenes of people running and attacking each other as women and children were caught in the chaos. One guest, said to be a heart patient, was seriously injured and admitted to hospital.

Speaking to NDTV, he said, "We came for a wedding. There was a gathering at the chicken fry counter. While guests were trying to get chicken fries, a fight broke out. There were women and children there, and a stampede occurred. One person has been hospitalised and his condition is quite serious."
Both families blamed each other, the groom’s side accusing the hosts of hoarding food, while the bride’s side claimed the baraatis misbehaved.
The situation was eventually brought under control after police, senior family members, and local religious leaders intervened. The wedding rituals were completed under police supervision. Nagina SHO Avneet Maan confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the brawl.
