After the Diwali festival, the Energy Corporation is preparing to launch a campaign against consumers. In the district, more than 50,000 consumers have outstanding dues of Rs 45 crore. These are consumers who have not paid their bills for three and six months. A campaign will be launched against them starting in November.

The Chief Engineer of the Energy Corporation, Vinod Kumar Gupta, stated that a plan has been made to take action against consumers who have not paid their electricity bills for more than three and six months.

In the first phase, about 50,000 such consumers have been identified who are using electricity every month but are not paying their bills.

A campaign will be launched against them, and as part of the action, their connections will be disconnected. The final stretch of the year has begun, which is why the corporation is running a campaign to recover its revenue. These consumers have outstanding dues amounting to Rs 45 crore. They are not paying their electricity bills.

Now, the connections of consumers who do not show seriousness about bill payment will be disconnected. About 18,000 consumers who have not paid their bills for more than three months and 32,000 consumers who have avoided payment for more than six months have been identified. The Chief Engineer stated that a campaign against them will begin in the first week of November. For this, instructions have been given to every Executive Engineer, SDO and Junior Engineer.
