The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) in Prayagraj will soon have a new 11-storey building that will cost around Rs 112 crore and will be equipped with modern resources and an electronic security system. The proposal for the building has been sent to the government for approval and the construction is expected to be completed in 18 months.
The new building will have a biometric system to secure the entire premises, each lift and rooms. It will also have a combined capacity of conducting examinations of 4,000 candidates in its Prayagraj and Lucknow campuses.
The second floor will have eight rooms for interviews and an examination hall that can accommodate 700 candidates. Two halls with 50 computers each will be made for the computer typing examination.

The building will also have a huge statue of Adi Shankaracharya in the centre space, an open-air auditorium, a martyrs’ memorial, a Kalpavriksha Museum and a gate like the one at Sarnath.

The museum at the premises will display rare collections such as historical statues of Shiva-Gauri and Ramayana in Persian. The history of the government and the commission will also be displayed in it. The gate, made of red sandstone, will be ready before Maha Kumbh under the Smart City Project and will be a selfie spot for visitors, reported news agency IANS.
