Uttar Pradesh Traffic News: A Car owner in Noida, have found himself facing hefty fine for not wearing helmet while driving his vehicle. The incident have left many in confusion, as the requirement to wear a helmet while operating a four-wheeler seems to defy common sense.

According to a NDTV report, Tushar Saxena, a resident of Rampur district, was recently charged with a Rs 1,000 fine by the Noida traffic police for allegedly driving his car without a helmet. Saxena, who claims to have never even visited Gautam Buddh Nagar district, where the fine was issued, was puzzled by the notification. Initially, he dismissed the text message informing him of the fine as a mistake, but subsequent emails and messages left him perplexed.

When Saxena contacted the traffic police, he was told that the fine was issued for driving his car without a helmet. Saxena argued that he had never driven his vehicle in the NCR area and questioned the very notion of needing to wear a helmet inside a car. He has now appealed to the Noida traffic police to investigate the matter and revoke the fine.

A similar incident occurred in Jhansi, where a man named Bahadur Singh Parihar was fined Rs1,000 for not wearing a helmet while driving his Audi car. Parihar approached the traffic police, but was told that the issue would be looked into after the ongoing Lok Sabha election. In the meantime, Parihar has decided to wear a bike helmet while driving to avoid further fines.
