The Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan-2025, launched to raise awareness among farmers about modern agricultural technologies and practices, concluded across Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. The campaign, which began on May 29 with an inaugural address by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, successfully reached 20.19 lakh farmers through a series of outreach activities.

As part of the Central Government-led initiative, three teams per district—comprising officials from agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, irrigation, cooperation departments, and agricultural scientists—were tasked with organising three events daily. In total, 10,125 events were conducted across the state during the campaign.

During the events, experts educated farmers on advanced farming techniques, improved crop varieties, and government schemes. Special focus was placed on enhancing the production of Kharif crops, and mini kits of pulses, sesame, groundnut, and millets (Shri Anna) were distributed among participating farmers.

On the final day of the campaign, Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor BK Saxena participated in a programme held in Baghpat, where he felicitated progressive farmers by presenting them with tractor keys and certificates. Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Ramnath Thakur addressed farmers at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kallipur in Varanasi, and State Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi took part in concluding events in Barabanki.
