Yamuna Expressway Land Acquisition: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has recently announced that they are planning to purchase agricultural land near the Noida International Airport for multiple projects. The authority stated that they are considering purchasing 13,300 acres of land across the Yamuna Expressway for the projects. The decision to purchase land in this zone was taken at the 84th board meeting of YEIDA on March 28.

The meeting was attended by the top officials, where they also sanctioned the Rs 5,000 crore proposal for land acquisition across the Yamuna Expressway. They further stated that the authority should purchase land directly from the farmers who are willing to sell it for the development of the region. The authority announced that the project will target building roads, parks, and other facilities before the investor is granted the land.

The officials stated that they have also recognised the locations from where they can purchase the land, adding that 36 villages of Gautam Budh Nagar and the villages of Aligarh district are under consideration. YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh stated that the land is being acquired for future use.

"We are witnessing strong interest from both domestic and global investors for establishing commercial ventures around the airport. Therefore, we are looking to acquire and develop the land for future use," Singh was quoted as saying by the Times Now.

While providing details, the authority stated that they are planning to set up a logistics hub across 250 acres, adding that six warehouses will also be built. Apart from this, the authority will also release a request for proposals and will try to generate employment for at least 10,000 job opportunities. YEIDA has also stated that they will introduce development projects to the villages if the residents are ready to cooperate.
