The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) will capitalise on the growing opportunities for logistics and warehousing in the YEIDA region, driven by the Noida International Airport.
The Authority has decided to develop Sector 8F, located near the airport, as a dedicated logistics and warehousing hub. The plot sizes and the internal development framework for the sector will be prepared based on the recommendations of a consultant agency. Once the layout is ready, YEIDA will launch a plot scheme for logistics and warehousing in the sector.
In its Master Plan 2041, the Yamuna Authority has marked the sectors near the Noida International Airport for multi-purpose use. Within this category, the plan is to promote industry as the main activity.
There is a continuous demand for logistics and warehousing facilities near the airport. After the airport's inauguration on October 30, domestic cargo services will commence in addition to passenger services. This will further accelerate the demand for logistics and warehousing in the YEIDA region.
To meet this demand, YEIDA will develop Sector 8F as a logistics and warehousing hub.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, Rakesh Kumar Singh, stated that the requirements of the logistics and warehousing sector will be studied before preparing the internal layout plan for the sector. A consultant agency will be engaged for this purpose.
The agency will submit a report after studying the needs of entrepreneurs and the models of other logistics and warehousing hubs developed elsewhere in the country. Based on this report, the plot sizes in the sector will be determined. Provisions for other infrastructural facilities will be made in the layout plan. After the layout plan is prepared, a plot scheme will be launched for allotment.

Multi-Modal Logistics Park Also Proposed In Tappal
YEIDA has also proposed a multi-modal logistics park in the Tappal Urban Center, which is part of Phase Two. The Aligarh district administration is completing the land acquisition process for this. The Tappal logistics park is also near the Noida International Airport and will have direct road connectivity to it.
