Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved an increase in dearness allowance (DA) for employees of state public bodies and undertakings receiving the fifth and sixth pay scales.
Employees under the fifth pay scale will now receive DA at 466 per cent, up from 455 per cent, while those under the sixth pay scale will see their DA rise from 246 per cent to 252 per cent. The revised DA will be effective from January 1, 2025.

Along with this, the Chief Minister has given financial approval for several development projects across the state.
These include:
- Rs 4.17 crore for the construction of additional residential buildings at the under-construction District Jail, Pithoragarh.
- Rs 2.51 crore for new additional residential buildings at the Sub-Jail, Roorkee.
- Rs 95.49 lakh for a check dam at Kilatam in the Dharchula assembly constituency of Pithoragarh district, with an additional Rs 57.29 lakh sanctioned.

- Rs 81.50 lakh for beautification works at Hanuman Mandir fair ground (Ladhauli), Aidi fair ground (Kalukhan), and Futling Kalukhan in Champawat, with an initial instalment of Rs 48.90 lakh released.
