Viral Video: Triggering a light-hearted ‘pizza vs paratha’ debate, business tycoon Anand Mahindra shared a video of a man making a giant paratha. Hinting towards the obvious support for Paratha, the industrialist then captioned the video in a manner that showed his preference. The post, soon after getting shared, went viral, and more people began to join in on the debate, turning it into an interesting showdown. With paratha being the Indian food, many supported it and dubbed it ‘OG’. Even actors joined in as they clearly agreed with the billionaire. 

The video was shared on the social media site X (formerly Twitter), on the industrialist’s official handle ‘anandmahindra’. The post was captioned, “Who needs Pizza when you can have Paratha…?”

The video immediately went viral as people began to share their take on the ‘pizza vs paratha’ showdown. Most sided with paratha and recalled its benefits as it is less ‘processed’, while others supported both and expressed their love for both foods. The post was shared two days ago and pulled a whopping 1.1M views from people. 

The post was also supported by ace actor Abhishek Bachchan, who expressed his love for parathas in the form of a single word- “Truth!”

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Yes. Delicious paratha. This is energy food.. And healthy also,” a user said. “Parathas are like the OG! You can stuff it, roll it, fry it, and eat it with pretty much anything - from spicy curries to sweet jams. And the best part? It's the ultimate comfort food! It's like a warm hug from your Indian grandmother,” added next. “Pizza is highly processed. Paratha is less processed. We were born with paratha, pizza are later addition. Paratha gives a feeling of one of our own; pizza is something borrowed. But let me add- no food is to be looked down upon as in our tradition,” said another. 

“Quite huge one. One for the big joint family. Which is this place?” asked a user. “If I remember correctly, I ate pizza 13-14 years ago in the office after a late evening client meeting, but stuffed paratha is regular in my breakfast (min 2 times/week),” said another.
