Apple iPhone 16 Launch: Maintaining the ‘tradition’ of being the most talked about on social media after every single launch, Apple is yet again back in the headlines. For those who are unaware, the brand that is often considered the most expensive among all is back with another phone for its loyal followers; iPhone 16. And much like always, the buzz is less about the new iPhone’s improved or new features and more about how the more expensive iPhone 16 is hardly any different from the ones that came before it; iPhone 15, 14 and so on. If you already haven’t guessed, yes the same old iPhone jokes are back on social media, where people can’t stop mocking the phone’s price, along with joking about its upgraded version with ‘no updates’.

The launch was held at the Apple Glowtime Event 2024 yesterday, September 09. The event was held at Apple’s California headquarters, Cupertino Park. Apart from the launch, the announcement to welcome the new iPhone 16 was also made on social media by none other than Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. It goes without saying that despite its own issues and inside jokes, the phone went viral not just for memes but for the excitement shown by its fans. The take was quick to make a clear division as half the population was rather ready to spend more and get yet another iPhone in their collection, while the other half pulled all kinds of jokes and memes that they could.

And with the new Camera Control, you’ll never miss a moment,” read the X (formerly Twitter) post by Cook. The video was shared last night and has already pulled more than 2 million views.
