From ‘Choti bachhi ho kya’ to ‘Ye sab doglapan hai’, there are countless vague sentences that might make no sense for the rest of the world, but for Indians, especially for the Indian meme community, these are more than enough to sum up an entire conversation, emotion or situation. Basically, that’s how strong a hilarious meme can be. Social media is full of such jokes and memes over which netizens collectively lost their minds due to the memes’ wildness. The hype has reached the level that it has become common to communicate only in memes, that’s how accurately they often explain the situation. Amid all that, a new one is in the town and the internet cannot get enough of it. Recently, a video of a kid answering an interviewer surfaced on social media and instantly went viral. The reason behind its virality was a simple misunderstanding that led the kid to say the term ‘Aayein’ over a question. The reporter asked the kid about his favourite subject, to which the kid said ‘Aayein’, which basically is slang or gesture for ‘pardon’. After getting the question cleared, the kid had an even funnier reply- Baigan, which means Brinjal. The reporter then cleared the question for the second time, but not before having a good laugh out of the answers. Later, the kid answered ‘English’ being his favourite subject. As soon as the video was shared, netizens were left ROLFing over the entire interaction and turned it into a viral meme that is currently dominating the internet.
Taking to the comment section, people shared memes on the hilarious reaction. Some found the reply hilarious, while others were integrated by the kid naming ‘English’ his favourite subject after getting confused.
“Baigan,” a user wrote along with a video of a mashup on the kid’s reply.
