Bengaluru Auto Viral Post: Bengaluru’s autorickshaws are once again in the spotlight, this time for all the wrong reasons. A picture of an auto carrying a harsh message against non-Kannada drivers has gone viral, sparking a heated debate online. The bold words painted on the vehicle read: “GO BACK, Illegal Hindi wala autos. No permit/ no police verification/ no display/ no badge/ no DL. More than 10,000 autos in the KR Puram and Mahadevapura zone.”

The image was first shared on Instagram by user ‘nammabengaluroo’, who expressed disappointment with the caption: “Sad to see this. We should not be that hateful towards people working legally, following all rules.”

The post shared just a day ago drew thousands of reactions. While some defended the message, insisting that outsiders should at least learn Kannada as a mark of respect for local culture, others slammed the display, calling it unnecessary hate against hardworking people simply trying to earn a living.

"Tell them running without metres is also illegal," a user wrote. "Yesterday, an auto driver surprised me by quietly turning on the meter without any argument. At first, I was stunned. When I reached my destination, I spoke in Kannada, but he didn’t understand me. That’s when I realized why he had switched on the meter right away," a second user shared his experience.

"Because of all this hatred and unnecessary charges, ppl prefer to travel in personal cars, which is adding to the traffic. Bangalore has lost common and civic sense, and it's applicable to the majority here, irrespective of the state and language. Even animals are aware of coexistence; we humans have forgotten it," wrote a third user.

"NammaOoru Auto Anna's should not promote such hatred. All are here to work for a living. Let's learn to co-live and support each other rather than spreading such hateful messages," added a fourth user. " Understand local auto drivers' queries regarding work occupancy. But guys, trust me when we try to book autos through any app, localities will not accept or they'll just cancel the ride. But at the end, only hindiwallas accept the ride and drop us to the doorstep without any issues and demands," added another user.
