A job offering a package of Rs 65 LPA is surely a dream come true for millions. Apart from that, additional incentives with multiple bonuses are nothing but the cherry on top. Keeping that in mind, the excitement that THIS man felt after scoring such a job offer was quite evident, which was also shared on social media. However, believe it or not, there were quite a number of people - especially techies- who looked rather unimpressed with the whole thing. As per how netizens responded, most people pointed out that the offer was not enough for someone with 10 years of experience, which was also mentioned in the social media post. A few commended the engineer's ‘jump’, as the post read 60 LPA as the previous CTC.
The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Ghar ke kalesh’. The post was captioned, “What 10YOE can get you :P- crazy offers.” The post was shared a few days ago and pulled 125K views from people.

The X post was quick to go viral, inviting people to share their 2 cents on the package. Most came forward and called the offer ‘decent’ but not ‘excellent’, while the rest simply called the package ‘mediocre’.
Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Am I the only one who's not thrilled looking at these numbers? I mean aren't they common in tech? Am I missing something?” a user said. “To be very honest. Not impressed with the numbers. I’ve seen better by the same company. But I’m happy for him. 10 years experience and L5 requires a lot of expertise,” added a second person.
“A lot of people in the replies seem confused. If you haven't added it all up, the Google offer is 1.64 crore for the first year. Not crazy for 10 years, but still pretty good,” added a third person. “60lpa AFTER 10 years? Sir I've seen some people with 3 YOE making way more than that already,” added a fourth user.
