Bengaluru Viral Video: Bengaluru’s traffic is back in the headlines, and this time it was a road rage that made the city go viral again. A video was shared on social media, which was basically a car dash camera recording. The clip showed a scooter driver driving a bit carelessly on a congested road, resulting in ultimately hitting a car. As soon as the scooter ended up hitting the car, it seemingly caused some minor scratches at the back of the car. Understandably, the incident left the car driver furious, causing him to get out of the damaged vehicle and lash out at the scooter driver. As soon as the video went viral, people began to react.
Most blamed the scooter rider for the matter, while the rest chastised the car driver for losing his cool to an elevated level than required. A few also called such issues common for Bangalore roads. The incident reportedly took place on November 11. As the video went viral, the Bangalore Police also responded to the post.
The Bengaluru video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘karnatakaportf’. The post was captioned, “Another instance of road rage has surfaced in Bengaluru, reminding us of the challenges on our city streets. In this case, a scooter rider, clearly at fault with little spatial awareness, triggered the incident. The rider appeared oblivious to the surroundings, navigating through traffic in a careless manner. However, the behavior of the i20 driver raises questions too.”
“If a minor scratch on your car can cause this level of frustration, it might be wiser to stay away from the roads or find alternative ways to handle such situations. Road rage only escalates tensions and creates unnecessary risks for everyone involved. Let's remember that patience and calmness can go a long way in ensuring safe and smooth traffic flow in our bustling city,” the caption further added. The post was shared yesterday and pulled more than 70K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Why is a minor scratch acceptable? Shall I do it in your car now? Road rage is wrong, but only when unprovoked and there is no fault of the other party. If not, then they are liable to pay up in some way,” a user said. “Minor scratches are not minor when car owner goes to garage...Imagine the same minor scratches car owner makes on Bikers then see how biker reacts aggressively,” added another.
“I own 3 two wheelers & 2 cars. I drive my two-wheeler also for short city rides & I honestly say that Two-wheeler drivers are the most notorious & disregard their lives while cutting corners, wrong-side driving, etc. And no minor scratches are not acceptable!” added a third person. “While I can understand the frustration from the car person, he was being too aggressive,” added another.
