Bihar Viral Video: Theft cases and thieves, unfortunately, are rather common all around the world. No country, city, town or village is completely theft-free. However, the concept and the presence of a ‘religious’ thief is surely something rare. Recently, Bihar’s Chhapra witnessed such a ‘religious’ thief in action when a man ended up stealing the snake idol from the Shivling at a Lord Shiva temple. The incident reportedly took place on September 12, at Chhapra’s Bateswar Nath Temple. What made the culprit stand out from the rest of the ‘regular’ thieves, was that the man did the deed with folded hands. Yes, the man basically prayed before stealing an idol from the temple. The incident was caught on the CCTV camera that was installed at the temple. Footage of the same was shared on social media, which went viral in an instant.
As per reports, an FIR has been registered at the Bhagwan Bazar Police Station. As the clip went viral, people began to react. Most chastised the man for his actions, while the rest speculated that the thief must be ‘desperate enough’ to steal from a temple.
The Bihar video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Sanjeev47429593’. The post was captioned, “Bholenath was cheated in Bihar, thief stole money while paying obeisance.” The video was shared today and pulled many views.

“May Bhagwan ji guides him on the right path, bechara garib lag rha hai (He looks really poor),” added a third person. “He is a very religious chor. Even before stealing, he does some puja,” added a fourth user. “Theft is fine but there should be no shortage in worship. The man just be thinking- I am asking forgiveness from God beforehand that please forgive me for the theft,” added another.
