British Man Viral Video: Street food and India go hand in hand, and one snack that rules them all is the much-loved golgappa. Whether it's pani puri, puchka, or golgappa, the fiery, tart, and crunchy treat is a national favourite. And now, this desi treat is also capturing hearts abroad. One such instance was caught in a widely shared Instagram video, in which a British man proudly represents his Indian wife by making and eating golgappas with assurance.
The fun clip, shared by the couple, begins with the man standing behind a table full of golgappa ingredients – crispy pooris, mashed potatoes, chutneys, and yoghurt. The video’s text reads, “When your British husband demonstrates how to eat golgappa to everyone.” And true to that, he dives straight into a step-by-step tutorial. He begins by stuffing a poori with mashed potatoes, adds a spoonful of tamarind chutney, tops it with curd, and then goes for the green chutney — but not without a caution. “It’s quite hot, so I would say use sparingly depending on your spice level,” he says, guiding his friends through the spice game. Finally, he eats it like a pro, popping the whole golgappa into his mouth.
His wife proudly says, "Good job, darling," encouraging him. The man then declares, "Watch me eat this whole box again, again and again," grinning broadly.

Social media users reacted in the comment section. One user wrote, "Omg! He nailed it! Who cares if it's golgappa or when the chutney goes in! He just did it well and has the audience looking stunned!" "I introduced pani puri to my Canadian friends and they love it to eat whole gappa in one go," a second user added. "Made my day.. can’t stop smiling. Please join us for some golgappe," added a third user.
"Hey, he is more Indian than us in India ...welcome to the brotherhood," added another user. "U forgot to dip in the spicy water, that’s the main ingredient," added another person. It's dahi Puri, gol gappe or Pani Puri or puchka doesn't have yoghurt, it has water,” commented another user.
