Noida Viral Video: Social media has witnessed far too many instances where online delivery agents ended up on the wrong side of the internet over videos of them stealing circulating on the internet. Instances where some were even caught eating the customer's ordered food also made it into headlines, further drawing negative attention. Making the entire thing further troublesome for delivery agents in general, yet another problematic incident unfolded in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida. CCTV footage was shared online, where a Swiggy delivery boy was seen stealing shoes from outside an apartment in a building. The date of the incident could not be confirmed.
The Swiggy delivery man’s video, after getting shared, went viral and pulled all kinds of reactions. Most people were against the act and chastised the delivery agent, while the rest advocated for him saying that his ‘poverty’ led him to steal.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘SachinGuptaUP’. The post was captioned, “Shoes kept outside the flat were stolen. The Swiggy delivery boy must have had some compulsion. Noida, Uttar Pradesh.” The video was shared yesterday and pulled more than 56K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “There can be no compulsion to steal, why defame poverty, if there is any compulsion then one can beg,” a user said. “They come from poor families, they don't even have proper shoes, I had noticed a lot of time. I had given a pair of shoes to my milkman. We have to help them,” added another.
“The context of his post is a f**king thief. People are referring to a lowlife - they come from a poor family. We should take pity on thieves now?” added a third person. “All the youth who work in Swiggy and Zomato do so only when their financial condition is very bad, this is also a result of unemployment,” added a fourth person.
