Mohammed Shami's brutal bowling attack on New Zealand in Wednesday's World Cup 2023 semi-final match will be remembered for ages. The Indian bowler took 7 wickets and the team registered a 70-run glorious victory, making their way to the World Cup Final. While the excitement and enthusiasm of every Indian is high, Mumbai And Delhi Police's fun banter on social media platform 'X; (formerly called Twitter) on Mohammed Shami's performance won hearts.
Considering Mohammed Shami's terrific bowling which forced the New Zealand team to go back to the pavilion sooner, Delhi Police tagged Mumbai Police in a sarcastic tweet and said, "@MumbaiPolice hope you do not book @MdShami11 for the tonight's assault." As soon as the tweet surfaced, Mumbai Police responded with another witty reply. It read, "You missed pressing charges of stealing innumerable hearts @DelhiPolice and listing a couple of co-accused too. P.S.: Dear citizens, both the departments know the IPC thoroughly and trust you for a great sense of humour"
