Uttarakhand Viral Video: When landslides blocked all roads in Uttarakhand, four determined B.Ed students from Rajasthan came up with an unusual plan to make sure they didn’t miss their exam; they flew to the centre in a helicopter. A video of the students boarding the chartered chopper from Haldwani to Munsyari in Pithoragarh district has now gone viral, leaving people amazed at the lengths they went for their education.

According to reports, the students, Omaram Jat, Magaram Jat, Prakash Godara Jat and Lucky Chaudhari, had to pay Rs 10,400 each to hire the helicopter. All four are primary school teachers who are also pursuing their B.Ed degrees from Uttarakhand Open University. They had reached Haldwani on Monday for their exam scheduled at Government Degree College, Munsyari. However, when they tried to find a taxi, every driver refused, as both the Haldwani and Pithoragarh routes were blocked due to heavy landslides.

Left with no other option, the group decided to take to the skies. Omaram and Magaram later admitted the ride was both “nerve-wracking and exciting,” adding that they never imagined they would travel in a helicopter just to attend an exam.
