'Help' might just look like a 4-letter word, but the value it holds can surely never be measured in scales. With the act being selfless, most of the time the helper does receive gratitude in return for lending their hand in an hour of need, but there are other times when one might not instantly end up receiving those grateful words of gratitude. One such type of helping that fits the latter category among the two described above, is helping animals. So automatically, the human who goes out of their way just to help an animal is mostly the hero we didn’t know we had, but the hero we surely need.

With that said, a hero without a cape, is being hailed on social media over his help for a dog. A video that has been shared on the Twitter handle of SSP UT Chandigarh, with the name @ssputchandigarh, shows a man risking his life to save a stranded pup in the midst of a raging river in Chandigarh. The video has been captioned as, "Kudos to team of Fire department assisted by Chandigarh police team, a puppy stranded under Khuda Lahore bridge due to heavy water flow was Rescued," as it celebrates the brave act done by the Fire Department and the Police Department of the city.

In the video that is also going viral over the rescuer's bravery, the man is seen coming towards the safety through a ladder with the dog held safely to his side. However, the fact that the ladder is just meters away from the strong currents of the muddy river, is what winning the hearts all around the internet.

The post of course is also receiving a lot of love and adoration. From "Good job" to "woww", all kinds of praising comments can be seen written by the netizens. "Hats off to Chandigarh Police," another user wrote. Apart from that, the comment section also has some cute GIFs that thank the administration for saving the stranded pup.
