Maharashtra Viral Video:  In Panvel, Maharashtra, a heated argument over language has captured everyone’s attention. The clash involved travel vlogger Vijay Chandel and the video of the argument has now taken over social media, making people debate once again on the Marathi vs Hindi issue. As per the post, It all began during the preparations for the Ganesh festival in Chandel’s society. A man sitting inside a car asked him if he spoke Marathi. Chandel gave a strong reply, saying, “Marathi nahi bolunga, Hindi hee bolunga. Ye Bharat desh hai.” Soon after, two women from the car got involved and told him he must speak Marathi because “Maharashtra mein rehte ho.” But Chandel didn’t agree. He stood firm and said, “Marathi meri mritiyu tak nahi bolunga. Hindi hi bolunga.”

The argument kept getting louder. At one point, a woman recording the video even said, “Don’t shout and get lost.” Chandel ended the video with another bold statement: “Hindi bolunga aur Bharat desh mein kewal Hindi hi boli jaegi.”

Later, while speaking to Pune Pulse, Chandel explained that the fight wasn’t just about language. According to him, there was already tension in the society about organising the Ganesh Utsav. Some people were against holding the festival, while he and his group were in favour. This, he said, added fuel to the fire. Chandel also revealed that he filed a police complaint after the incident. Though a few people apologised, the trolling against him online has not stopped. “It has not stopped and I am under mental pressure,” he said.

"Great leaders like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj dedicated their entire lives to the cause of unity, self-respect, and the welfare of the people. He brought people together beyond the boundaries of caste, religion, or language because he knew that true strength lies in unity. Language is simply a means of communication. It is a tool to connect, whether it is Marathi, Hindi, English, or even sign language. What truly matters is the emotion and intent behind the words," wrote a third user.

"Such issues will only divide us. Rather, let's be proud that in spite of such diversity, we are all Indians and have so much in common in our culture and beliefs. We already know that there are so many threats we face from outside India and a few selective groups inside the country to divide us... At least knowing that, we don't create a new issue to break us from within," added a fourth user.
