KFC Chicken-Flavoured Toothpaste: From fried chicken buckets to bathroom cabinets, KFC just made one of the wildest moves in fast food history. The brand teamed up with Australian dental company Hismile to create something no one saw coming, a toothpaste that tastes exactly like KFC’s Original Recipe chicken. And guess what? It sold out super fast.
Yup, you read that right. This isn’t an April Fool’s joke (though it did drop on April 1). In a joint Instagram post, KFC and Hismile confirmed: “Not a prank. It’s here. And it’s Finger Lickin’ Good.” The limited-edition toothpaste apparently mimicked the flavour of a hot, juicy bite of KFC chicken, with that signature blend of 11 herbs and spices but left your breath minty fresh. According to a press release, KFC described the experience as brushing your teeth with actual chicken flavour, “like biting into a hot, juicy piece of KFC Original Recipe Chicken.”
Priced at $13 (around ₹1,123), the toothpaste was available only through Hismile’s official website. The product disappeared from shelves by the morning of April 8, just days after launch. According to Koban Jones, marketing manager at Hismile, the goal of this quirky product was to push creative boundaries. Speaking to Fox News, he said, “This collab is bold, unexpected, and seriously fun.”

Though the toothpaste is sold out, fans can still get their hands on KFC’s themed electric toothbrush. Priced at $59 (about ₹5,097), it features three brushing modes, soft bristles, and a built-in timer, marketed as the “perfect mix of fun and function.”
This isn't KFC’s first bold move outside food. Previously, the brand launched a BBQ-scented perfume called “No. 11 Eau de BBQ” in the UK. It featured smoky notes and came in a bottle styled in KFC’s red and black stripes.

The unusual toothpaste quickly became a hot topic online, leaving users amused, puzzled, and oddly excited. KFC’s original Instagram post racked up over 11k likes, with the comments section filling up fast.
People didn’t hold back with their reactions. One user joked, "11 herbs and spices couldn’t get anymore realer." Another seemed eager to give it a go, asking, "Will this come to Australia, keen to try!" Some weren’t sure if it was a prank or not. "I'm too tired. I thought this was real. How dare u kfc," commented a confused fan.
A user took the opportunity to make a food request: "Bring back hot wings bro." Meanwhile, one self-proclaimed KFC merch lover confessed, "Just spent way too much $$ on toothpaste. I can't control myself when it comes to wacky KFC merch."
