The increasing use of advanced technology, which began as a ‘boon’ at its initial stage, has slowly turned into a ‘bane’ for many over it going ‘out of control’. From people overusing it to technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) forging a ‘scary’ path of its ‘own’, humanity is now facing far more problems than benefits from such tech. In a similar incident, a US woman in Washington, like any other person trying out AI-generated images, tried creating her AI images where she was ‘swimming with the sharks’. However, the entire thing turned into a nightmare after the AI ended up creating her topless images.

The 50-year-old woman from Washington’s Tumwater, Megan, was using an app by Washington’s Lottery, 'Test Drive a Win', as per reports by Fox News. The app reportedly had options where users could create their ‘holiday pictures’ by uploading their images. Doing the same, Megan uploaded her image, only to reportedly get a topless photo of her, where she was in a ‘bathing suit bottom’ with fishes swimming around her in a room. She opened up about the incident at the ‘The Jason Rantz Show’ on April 02.

Rushing into action after seeing her pornographic images, the woman complained about the app, after which, the app was taken down, as per reports. “Prior to launch, we worked closely with the developers of the AI platform to establish strict parameters to govern image creation,” read a statement released by Washington’s Lottery. “We were made aware that a single user of the AI platform was purportedly provided an image that did not adhere to those guidelines,” the statement further read.

“This campaign was launched more than a month ago and has had thousands of images created that all fall within the prescribed guidelines,” read the statement. “Regardless, one purported user is too many and as a result, we have shut down the site,” it added.

Meanwhile, the victim, Megan, found the images ‘disturbing’. “I also think whoever was responsible for it should be fired,” she was quoted as saying.
