Answered? Well, if your answer is ‘man’, then it seems like you are in ‘minority’, as a majority of women chose the bear. Confused about the sudden questioning? Well, this is exactly the trend, Man Or Bear Trend, which is currently going viral.

What is the trend?

We pretty much explained what the trend is, but let’s repeat it. There is this trend going around on the internet, where people are asking women to choose between a man and a bear if they get stuck in the forest. Most of the women chose the bear, as many felt rather ‘unsafe’ with men.

How did the trend begin?

The trend reportedly went viral after a TikTok video by Screenshot HQ was shared, which asked 8 women to choose between a man and a bear, and only 1 went for the man while the rest chose the bear.

As soon as the trend went viral, people began to join in to share their 2 cents. Some agreed with the women keeping in mind the violence and crime done by men against them , while the rest called the bear ‘riskier’. Many also simply did not like the trend.

Taking to the internet, people shared their take on the trend.

“Man or bear is the dumbest social media trend ever,” a user said.

“A lil vent Art bc yes and felt like posting it too so yerm. Feeling a bit sad but I’m alr. So no worries. Just saw this trend on tiktok talking who would you rather choose to be stuck with, a man or a bear. I obviously chose the bear,” a second person said.

“The man or bear trend is really reassuring me that I'm not alone. I'm still scared of pedophiles even tho that was just a vivid dream,” added a third person.

“Bear VS Man. #TheBearorMan trend is NOT Black business.. We do not do forest and trails without a blicky or Man,” said a fourth user.

“I hate men who get mad at the “rather be with a bear than a man” trend. You getting mad is the reason,” added a fifth person.

“This ‘bear vs. man’ trend is actually upsetting me, not because I don't think violence towards women is a real problem, but because I can't wrap my head around why everyone is insisting on misunderstanding statistics to make an otherwise valid point,” added another.
