Man Stunned As China’s Robot Taxi Picks Him Up, Internet Amazed By Driverless Innovation | VIDEO

Robot Taxi Viral Video: China never fails to amaze the world with its futuristic technology, and this time, it’s a self-driving taxi that’s capturing everyone’s attention. A video going viral shows a man getting picked up by a fully driverless cab, and his reaction has left viewers both excited and stunned. The clip begins with the man saying, "Guys, I just ordered a cab here in China, and guess who’s here to pick me up? A robot." He points at a blue and white car with no one behind the wheel and adds, "That is a robot taxi. There’s actually no one inside."

He then shows how he unlocks the vehicle with his phone. "I’m supposed to unlock it from my phone. Oh my God," he says, clearly nervous and thrilled. Stepping inside, he repeats, “This is scary. Guys, there is no one," as he highlights the empty driver’s seat. As he begins the ride, he shares his amazement: "Can you believe this? Okay, I’m just gonna start," he says before tapping the screen to begin the trip. Watching the taxi move on its own, he adds, "It’s going. I can’t believe there is nobody there. Check this out. Unbelievable."

Ending his ride, he marvels at China’s rapid tech development: "The more time I spend in China, every day, a different tech innovation is just blowing my mind away. Crazy, man," as the taxi drops him off and drives away on its own. The video, captioned, "ROBOT Taxi in China. Ordered a taxi in China and a robot car came to pick me up !!! China is absolutely living in 2050," was posted on November 21 and has already crossed 1.5 million views.
