Vande Bharat Viral Video: A recent journey on the Vande Bharat Express turned into a nightmare for some passengers, not because of delays or crowd, but due to a sudden water leak inside the coach. Yes, you read that right. Passengers travelling on Train No. 22415 (Varanasi–New Delhi) were shocked when water started dripping from the roof mid-journey. Many of them and their belongings got completely drenched. The leak was so bad that people had to leave their seats and stand in corners to avoid getting wet.
A video shot by a passenger captured the chaos. Another video posted by journalist Piyush Rai called it a “complimentary ‘waterfall’ service unlocked in the Delhi-bound 22415 Vande Bharat express caught the passengers off-raincoat.” A passenger also posted a complaint online asking for a full refund. In his post, he wrote: “AC not working and water leakage in #VandeBharat train. Extremely uncomfortable journey despite premium fare. Multiple complaints lodged but no action taken. Kindly look into it. PNR: 2137164305.”
While the problem may now be fixed, the incident left passengers wondering, How can such things happen on a train that’s promoted as India’s pride and charges a premium fare for top-class service?

The incident triggered a response from Railway Seva, which explained the technical reason behind the leak. According to them, the problem was caused by “condensate water” collecting inside the cooling system.

Root Cause:
Condensate water accumulated under the cooling coil of the RMPU due to drain holes of drip tray blocked by Mix media/…
Here’s what went wrong: the drain holes in the drip tray of the air conditioning unit (RMPU) got blocked by filters. Due to this, water built up under the cooling coil. When the train applied the brakes, the collected water entered the return air duct and started dripping inside the coach.
