Gone are the days when Bangalore, apart from being the IT hub of the country, was also referred to as the ‘pleasant weather city’ of India. In fact, the city’s cool weather was undoubtedly one of the most popular flex among Bangalorians, but not anymore. With the temperature rising drastically across the entire globe, it's sad to say that Bangalore is no exception. Since the beginning of 2024 summers, people in Bangalore have started complaining about its scorching heat, probably for the first time in years. Highlighting the gravity, a woman shared that she, after 20 years, is finally using an AC, a post regarding which went viral.

Reminiscing about the older days, the woman also spoke on how people used to love and laud Bangaluru weather. She went as far as comparing Bangaluru’s weather with Rajasthan’s.

The post was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘AmannaPrerana’. The post read, “Never in my 20 years in Bangalore, I ever thought we would need an AC. Earlier say anything about this city and people would defend it with the pleasant weather. Bangaloreans can no longer play the ‘weather’ card. What is this heat even? It’s as if I’m staying in Rajasthan. Every year summer is harsher than the previous year. The heat is unbearable.”

The post went viral on social media and drew a heavy reaction. Most people agreed with the need to use AC and other cooling machines, while the rest recalled the older days when the weather in Bangalore was pleasant.
