In a piece of good news to all pizza lovers, a pizza chain based in New Zealand has launched a unique and innovative way to pay for your food. The newly-launched scheme, known as Afterlife Pay, will allow you to pay all your pizza bills after you die. Yes, you heard it right. You can now settle your payments after you are dead.
According to the official website, only 666 customers can be a part of this contract. "Paying for things can be such a burden. So we’re trialling a new payment scheme that lets you buy now, and pay much later... when you’re resting six feet under. Only proceed if you wish to be one of the selected 666 living mortals who will legally declare your debt to us in your Will," said the website.
The outlet also offers 24 creatively named pizzas to choose from the menu. The options include Lust, Greed, Envy, Wrath, Pride, Gluttony, Lust Deluxe, Burger Pizza, Pandemonium, Brimstone, Mordor, Morning After Pizza, Grimm, Mischief, Cursed, Trouble among several others.
The company also shared a video to announce its latest scheme. The video features a person delivering pizzas to clients while being accompanied by a lawyer. He can be seen requesting them to sign a contract stating that they will receive their pizza for free now and pay for it when they die.
The description of the video read, "We’re making it easier for you to feast in Hell! Introducing Afterlife Pay - a new method of payment that allows you to buy now and pay... much later!"
It was shared on May 25 and since then it has amassed more than 7,000 views. Curious netizens also reacted to the video and asked the procedure to apply. "How do I apply?," asked a user. Another questioned, "Is this real?"
Meanwhile, those who want to apply for the scheme can visit the official website and submit their names. They can also choose the type of Pizza they want to order from the menu. They then get the option to choose how they would like the base of the pizza.
In the last process, you will be needed to enter your email address. "Our lawyers wish to point out that by entering your email below, you're stating your intent to repay Hell the total value of your pizza, once deceased. Whenever that might be...," says the official declaration on the website.
"TERMS: Successful candidates will be notified before the 17th day of June 2023, who will receive a unique code for a pizza you can enjoy now and pay for in the afterlife," it added.
