Despite fashion being subjective, with time, people have started to accept bodies like the fashion police or fashion critics, especially in the modelling and cinema industry. However, with many associating the ‘price’ of a product with its quality and design, the ‘fashion police’ hardly ever say a word against high-end brands where the price tag of a single product can read an amount in lakhs and crores. Now, there is nothing wrong with selling expensive products- but the fact that the same product needs to be worthy enough is what some high-end brands are seemingly forgetting about. In the last few years, it’s like creativity has taken a back seat for such brands, as many labels have launched some of the most nonsensical and bizarre products which are sold solely in the name of the product’s brand tag. Popular brand Prada recently displayed something similar with its latest tote bag launch.
The tote bag which was supposed to be unique, instead turned out to be ‘sore of the eye’ with ‘no creativity whatsoever’, as per netizens. The ‘reason’, you ask? Well, the metallic print that the bag had starkly resembled the floors of an Indian bus or train. As soon as the netizens noticed the same, they took it to the internet to convey their take on the bag. Apart from the design, the price of the bag also left many speechless. The Prada tote bag, as per luxury store Harrods, was worth £2,850 (around Rs 3 lakh). A post on the same was shared online, which went viral.
The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘PoetArora’. The post was captioned, “At this time, Prada and Balenciaga are just profiling people with 0 brains who we can leave behind in case an asteroid is coming and we need to migrate to a different planet. This DTC bus floor jaisa bag was up for ₹ 2.73 Lakh and is SOLD OUT.” The post was shared 2 days ago and pulled many views.

Taking to the internet, people shared their take. “DTC bought them all to repair the bus floor,” a user joked. “They are eco-friendly nowadays old buses are gone in scrap they recycle it from there,” added a second person. “Everything is inspired by India these days. This is bizarre tho,” added a third person.
“I wonder about people’s fashion sense who buy such things,” added a fourth person. “Not buying that shit even if I am a billionaire,” added a fifth person. “That means to sell anything in the name of a brand. What nonsense. Do people in the fashion industry itself are not all creative or what?” added another.
