Red-Spitting Cobra Viral Video: Social media is full of weird reptile-related content where people do almost anything and everything that they should definitely NOT be doing with a deadly reptile. From kissing a snake to putting hands inside a crocodile’s mouth, literally, there is always something happening that should be avoided at all costs when it comes to risking life around such animals. Joining the list, another video of a man rescuing an unusual serpent came forward and went viral. However, more than the rescue mission and its risks, it was the snake’s colour that gained attention; Red.
The said snake was a cobra, which was red in colour. And that is all that was more than enough to intrigue the interest of netizens to know whether the cobra was real or spray-coated. Turned out, it was real and is popular by the name red-spitting cobra. They are mostly found in Africa, Egypt, and other countries, and as the name suggests, they can spit venom in people's eyes.
The date and location of the video could not be confirmed. The video was shared on the social media platform ‘snake_fraind’. The post was captioned, “Snake rescue and release.”

The video, soon after getting shared, went viral on social media and left people reacting to it. Most people were confused about the snake’s colour being real or fake, while some concluded that it was spray painted and dubbed it ‘animal cruelty’. While one pointed out that it was a Red Spitting Cobra. The post was shared a while back and pulled 16K likes from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Yellow colour legate tho acha reheta (It would have been better if it was in yellow),” a user joked. “Is that snaked spray-painted or something? If it really is, then this is wrong on so many levels. Why would I harm an animal like that? This is just acceptable,” added a second person.
“I hope that is the snake’s natural colour, and he is not spray painted. Otherwise, that would be animal cruelty,” writes a third user. “Don't hurt animals for likes. These colours can really be harmful to animals,” added a fourth person. “These people can do anything for videos and likes. Even spray painting a snake for internet attention is okay with these people,” added the next. “That I'm guessing is a Red Spitting Cobra. They are dangerous, just like every other cobra in the world. Do not let its colour fool you” said the next.
