Viral Video: Posing multiple questions on the safety and security of Swiggy customers, a video came forward where a Swiggy delivery agent was caught stealing a pair of shoes from a person’s doorstep. The incident was captured on the CCTV camera installed near the front door. Ironically, the agent was not even delivering food to the victim, as the delivery was for the victim’s neighbour, which is when the man saw the Nike shoes that were kept outside the apartment. The said video went viral almost immediately, whereas the incident had unfolded on April 09, as per the CCTV footage.

The location of the viral video could not be confirmed but it is being claimed to be from a Gurugram society. As soon as the clip went viral, people began to react to it. The video was shared by the victim’s friend. As per the post, Swiggy so far has refused to provide the man’s contact information.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘_arorarohit_’. The post was captioned, “Swiggy's drop and PICK up service. A delivery boy just took my friend's shoes (@Nike) and they won't even share his contact.”

“Swiggy support called and just said they can't track their rider. We need to contact their legal team or file a police complaint. At this point it's not about shoes, it's about safety. The rider was let into the house to deliver goods. Now we all have to think about doing it,” the man further informed in the comment section.

The video, soon after getting shared, went viral on social media, leaving people reacting. Most people criticised Swiggy’s lack of assistance and suggested the victim to file a legal complaint. At the same time, the rest joked about the incident. The post was shared yesterday and pulled 730K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Filed a complaint with Swiggy?” a user asked. “New fear unlocked. Cost of the camera recovered in 1 video,” a second person said. “I thought he was going to take the white ones,” said a third person. “Bro questioned his life choices before attempting the heist. @SwiggyCares help this man out if you actually care,” said a fourth person.

“This is unacceptable. @SwiggyCares, as a customer, I would like to know what actions you plan on taking in this situation!” said a fifth person. “I am the Only One Who Was Waiting For Him To Take Those White Shoes?” added a sixth person.

“Swiggy cares actually useless as always, unless we file a legal complaint they will not disclose anything and I guess they won't even take this as a complaint even for an internal inquiry! That's how they work!” added another.
