The Simpsons Kills Off Larry The Barfly: It seems like Moe's Tavern won’t be the same ever again, as fans won’t be able to get their daily glimpse of one of the most sweet side characters from the show ‘The Simpsons’; Larry The Barfly. Yes, believe it or not, but the show, unfortunately, bid a sudden goodbye to the much-loved character in the recently aired episode, ‘Cremains Of The Day’, which was the 765th episode of the show. The fact that he was introduced in the very first episode in 1989, further made the event hard for people, especially The Simpsons’ fans.

For those unaware, Moe's, or Moe's Tavern, was Springfield’s local bar in the show, whereas Larry was a regular character in The Simpsons. Larry was always seen in the bar, and his character eventually grew on fans. Larry, as per reports, went by the full name Lawrence Dalrymple. As soon as the episode was released, people were left shocked over Larry's sudden demise, leading to them expressing their disbelief and grief on social media.

Taking to the internet, fans bid an emotional farewell to the character. From ‘RIP Larry the Barfly’ to recalling his iconic scenes, the internet was flooded with all kinds of reactions from admirers.

“RIP Larry the Barfly - we hardly knew ye,” a user said.

“I just heard Larry the Barfly died. I'm gonna need some time,” wrote a second person.

“He died unloved in a bar, Larry the barfly,” added a third person.

“A farewell to Larry the barfly,” commented a fourth user.

“One thing about the latest Simpsons episode is that all jokes aside, Larry The Barfly’s life is really fucking sad and tragic,” wrote another.
