Delhi Viral Video: Highlighting the grave issue of increasing number of phone snatching cases in Delhi, another incident came to light and left the internet furious over the police’s lack of ‘vigilance’. The incident unfolded in Delhi’s Gulabi Bagh area, where a man snatched a woman’s phone who was talking on it. The matter unfolded right outside a home that the victim was about to enter. The snatcher, on the other hand, seemed to be following the woman for quite a while. The snatcher was quick to run away after he took the phone from the woman, resulting in the victim also chasing the thief. The date of the incident could not be confirmed.

The Delhi video of the same, after getting shared, went viral and pulled countless reactions. Most people tagged the Delhi Police and demanded to take stricter actions against such crimes, while the rest criticised the police for not being ‘vigilant’ enough over such cases.

The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘lavelybakshi’. The post was captioned, “A woman's phone was snatched while she was talking on the phone in Delhi's Gulabi Bagh area.” The video was shared two days ago and pulled 30K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Such incidents are happening more and more often now, efforts must be made to stop them,” a user said. “It has become a common thing now to snatch and grab, there is no stone left to be found. Street, house, city, village, hospital, station- the case is the same everywhere,” added a second person.

“Delhi Police has stopped considering mobile phone theft as a crime. Earlier they used to catch people a little bit...now they try their best to not register an FIR. @DCPCentralDelhi,” added a third user. “It's alarming to hear that a woman had her phone snatched while talking on it in Delhi's Gulabi Bagh area. Such incidents of theft and crime are deeply concerning and highlight the urgent need for improved safety measures and vigilant policing,” added another.
