Viral Video: Social media has seen quite a number of cases where street dogs turned violent, resulting in people, especially kids, getting injured. Surely not all strays are dangerous, many are simply lovable, but such attacks are not helping the case as fear against stray dogs has increased dramatically in the last few years. Adding another one to the list, a video was shared online, which further fueled the matter. The incident in question reportedly happened in Telangana’s Karimnagar, where an 18-month-old boy was attacked by a street dog. The incident was caught on the CCTV camera installed by, as per which, the matter unfolded on August 07.

As per the viral post, the kid was later admitted to the hospital, due to his ‘severe’ injuries. The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘TeluguScribe’. The post was captioned, “CCTV footage. Stray dog attack on 18-month-old boy. Karimnagar - On the road near Satavahana University, Harinandan was playing with another boy.. But at the same time, Harinandan was seriously injured when a stray dog attacked him. Immediately family members noticed and were admitted to Karimnagar Hospital.”

“The dog was unusually aggressive,” a user said. “I am scared of it and the government is not serious about this specific thing they just ignore it,” wrote a second person. “Some dogs are aggressive, they should be taken in by NGOs, but not every dog attacks people,” added a third user.

“That is why it is important to stay with a young child, children should not be left alone. Hope the kid is fine,” added a fourth person. “When will the government take some serious action?” joined a fifth user. “Not every stray dog can't be trusted. Some can attack anyone, better to be aware of stray dogs,” added another.
