Viral Video: Ice in glasses full of drinks looks cool and all, but maybe what goes on behind the ‘machine’s doors’ is something that needs to be checked. Basically, if chilled drinks that leave you feeling all kinds of sensation in your gums and teeth are your kind of thing, then you might want to take a look at this video going viral. The clip in question showed a man opening up an ice machine, exposing the major toxicity and black mold build-up. The mold was in areas that were hard to keep away from the ice cubes, that would eventually be served to anyone wanting a ‘chilled glass’ of water or other beverages.

The video, after getting shared, went viral almost instantly. Most people found the clip disgusting, while the rest were left concerned after watching the mold build up. Some also suggested going for ice-free drinks.

The video was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘honeybunnyherbshop’. The post was captioned, “Signs Mold Toxicity & testing.”

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “So ridiculous restaurants should be held to a higher standard,” a user said. “Should be in jail for serving that to people,” added a second person. “Why would he touch it with his bare hands? That was so dangerous to do,” added a third user.

“I worked at a bar that had never ever cleaned their ice maker, and one day I noticed black stuff (obviously black mold) in the ice, showed my manager and said how we need to have it cleaned bc that’s mold. He told me it was dirt and refused to do anything about it except make me dump the WHOLE ICE MAKER!! And then refill it again,” commented a fourth person.
