Bengaluru Viral Video: Bengaluru has been stealing the ‘spotlight’ for some of the most troubling reasons from the past few weeks. Language imposition-related incidents, people acting in a hateful manner for no practical reason, and more- several incidents have left the city on the wrong side of the internet. Adding to the list, another incident from Bengaluru came forward. A video of a woman was shared on social media, where she was seen getting upset over Pookkaalam made by some kids in a Bengaluru society. For context, Pookkaalam is basically a rangoli that is made out of flowers instead of colours. It is mostly made in Kerala, during the much-hailed Onam festival.

Coming back to the incident, the woman was seen arguing over the Pookkaalam at first, she then ended up ruining the whole thing as people tried to stop her. The incident, as per the video, took place in Thannisandra’s Monarch Serenity society. Meanwhile, the woman went by the name Simi Nair. The date of the incident could not be confirmed.

The Bengaluru video, after getting shared, went viral and left people reacting. Most chastised the woman for her behaviour and called her names, while the rest demanded justice and suggested handing her over to the police.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘nach1keta’. The post was captioned, “She is Simi Nair, a resident of Monarch Serenity, Thannisandra, Bangalore, deliberately destroying a Pookalam, lovingly created by children in the common area.” The post was shared 4 days ago and pulled more than 842K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “This is unconstitutional, everyone has the right to religion. The society didn't file a case against her?” a user said. “Who is this low-life, attention seeker now?” added a second person. “Unhappy entitled individuals destroy simple joys of others also,” wrote a third user.

“A few women of the society should have tackled her. She wouldn't dare again. Wrong advice? Yes, but such people deserve that. Utterly useless person” added a fourth person. “This is not communism. This is a bad neighbour, intolerant, unfriendly person,” added a fifth user. “Why did the woman not give her a nice Onam Treat?” added another.
